Sweet & Sour Cabbage

Ingredients

1 large Head of Cabbage

2 - 4 Tablespoons dried Onions

2 - 4 Green Peppers

½ Cup Cider Vinegar

2 Cups Water

2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar

salt & pepper to taste

2 Tablespoons Oil

Slice all Vegetables. Heat Oil; add onions and peppers. Stir occasionally, sautéing 5-10 minutes. Add cabbage. Mix vinegar, water, and sugar, and add to cabbage. Salt and Pepper to taste. Simmer 20-30 minutes. DO NOT OVERCOOK. Drain off liquid before serving. 

Serve all leftovers at room temperature. There is no need to reheat.

 1) Balsamic Vinegar is an alternative to Cider Vinegar

  2) You can go Red or Green with this salad, depending upon how you choose the cabbage, peppers, onions, and vinegar.

3) It also tastes good COLD.
