Father prays for the entire family and for their loved ones, both living and departed. The family is blessed with holy water, the Feast which has been prepared is blessed, and the Slava service is completed. |

While the Slava is predominantly a Serbian custom, that does not prevent others from adopting it. The Webmaster, for example, has adopted for his Slava his family namesake, St. Benignus of Dijon.
